LinkedIn CEO previews new 'career explorer' at Kimmel

Career Explorer is designed to help students chart their own career opportunities based on individual skills and personalities. Users can access the information, including the level of occupation, education and the desired key, and the program creates a virtual career to help advise them on how they achieve their goals. The tool also allows students to compare the tracks of specialists in this sector to find out how their job search to improve.
"It's like a great and unique way, and provides access to the tracks selected by the members of LinkedIn in their professional lives," said Weiner. "To take advantage of these ideas and transform them into songs of the process that people can use is absolutely invaluable for the children."
He added: "The most important thing you can do in terms of starting your career, and know exactly what you want in the end to reach the optimum must always be passion, skill, and then take advantage of the network and do you still connected to the right people. This is about the Career Explorer. "
After that, the representative of Steinhardt senior campus and LinkedIn Nathan Edelburg about the program, says that opens opportunities for students.
"What I really like about the tool is that it helps you to plan a career based on a specific sector," he said. "You can look at what is the career path, and expected salary and based on your own network, and how can we get there."
Said Trudy Steinfeld, assistant vice-president of the Centre and Wasserman, and said it expects Explorer Wasserman Career Center to help find work for students.
"Our mission is to assist students in the [career] process and this is why a tool like this is very important," she said. "What we do better [in the Wasserman] was to teach students how to find work, and who they are and what they want with their lives. It's a big deal for this event here, because this tool helps us do exactly that way. "
LinkedIn currently has a test version of a new tool. The site will announce the launch of an alpha version in the near future.
