MCM opens in Barbados

MCM has expanded its travel retail business in America with a new list of Duty Free Caribbean at its Colombian Emeralds International (CEI) shop in Broad Street, Bridgetown, Barbados.
The outlet now offers a wide selection of MCM handbags and small leather goods from the Autumn Winter Collection, including the Boston Project, plus styles from Air Collection, Elite, Ivana Patent, First Lady, Visetos Marble, and Silk Road lines. Boston Project bags include Himalayan Spirit and Stud Degradee.
A wide range of small leather goods are also offered by the shop directed largely to the island visitors and cruise ship passengers.
MCM Global Travel Retail Director Gerry Munday said: "America is now showing real opportunities for MCM in travel retail and we are delighted to have secured this new business with CEI. They have shown real faith in the brand by offering a wide selectionof styles and bag sizes and we look forward to a really busy late autumn and Christmas sales season. "Colombian Emeralds International (CEI) is a division of Duty Free Caribbean Holdings (DFCH) which was formed in October 2000, combining the forces of Cave Shepherd and Dufry.
CEI operates 38 luxury jewelry retailers in Antigua, Aruba, Barbados, Curacao, Grand Cayman, Grenada, Jamaica, Turks & Caicos, St. Johns, St. Lucia and St. Maarten.Those stores operate under a franchise agreement and trade under the name of Colombian Emeralds International Jeweler The store, Diamond Boutique, Perfect Time, and The jewelers at Sandy Lane.
Duty Free the Caribbean (DFC) and Colombian Emeralds International (CEI) primarily operates out of the airport, port, center and hotel locations.
